A series of close up shots of my beloved violin in black and white. Photos taken in 2015.
It was late August, 2015. I had recently found out my father was dying from cancer. He wasn’t going to make it. I took solace in sharing a newfound hobby with him – photography. He was already a very accomplished analog photographer, but analog was intimidating for a beginner like me. So I bought myself a DSLR camera and started snapping away at everything around me. These photos above were taken during an evening I mostly spent with my father, over the phone. I found them a bit “moody”, still do. My father liked them, however. He, unlike me, remained positive until the very end.
Dad, you are forever missed.
